Get the Jersey Leanmug. The characteristic retroverted, backward leaning posture that some obese people develop as a survival mechanism to counteract their extreme weight-forward balance. Most likely to develop in individuals who frequent fried food joints in the Deep South. Can also be used to describe the walking-stumble gait of a person who has had one too many drinks, artificially replicating the individual described formerly.
Example 1:
Friend A, inside a hole in the wall restaurant: "What are you laughing at?"
Friend B: "Don't turn around just yet. There's a habitual customer behind you who has the Mississippi Lean going on."
Example 2: "Did you see that lady leaving the bar? She's got that Mississippi Lean—her husband had to sit her down outside to prevent her from falling backwards."
