Her father, James DeBarge, was a founding member of 1980s R&B family group DeBarge. She was born and raised in Los Angelas California. She has been singing since she was 3 years old but didn't take it seriously until she was 12. During the summer of 2003 when she was 13 she became a contestant on the
American Idol spinoff, American Juniors. She then progressed to the semifinal round of twenty contestants. She was featured in a group of ten semifinalists and sang the song
Reflection. However, she was not one of the five to from that group to make it into the final ten. She is now known by her single Goodbye which made it's debut on Itunes, April 7th 2009.
