jealous friend syndrom 

Usally a guy is the person being jealous. when his good friend finially gets a boyfriend and instead of him being happy for her he is jealous its not him and tries to do anything to break them up.

Girl: Your my best friend so im going to tell you this first.... I have a boyfriend

Guy: Really........oh well thats nice *god I have to break them up i wanted to be her boyfriend we were friends for so long*

Girl: so arent you happy for me?

Guy: ............

Girl: OMG! are you going threw jealous friend syndrom.

(usally hapens to guys) is when the person you like is also a really good frined and they would rather be good frineds

guy talking to guy friend: hey dude i talked to amber last night about goin out and she said that she really liked me and that i was like her best friend.
guy friend: haha it sounds like you got best friend syndrom goin on
