Doomer Anglo Saxonism

Doomer Anglo Saxonism (not to be confused with 19th century Anglo Saxonism) is an ideology and aesthetic created around mid-2024 by the youtuber AngloVikingYT.

It integrates the aesthetic of metal, English folk culture, history, punk and doomerism with a huge emphasis on the culture of Germanic tribes (Angles, Saxons and Jutes) that migrated to Romano-Britain in the early middle ages and later created under Alfred The Great what we now know as England at the threat of the Danish heathen army at their doorstep.

Targeted at youths of English descent, it essentially an aesthetic about the our ancestors mainly prior to 1066 and their way of life to make it through the troubles the modern world has brought upon us. It rejects the pointless hedonistic lifestyle of today and focuses more on independent moral values aligned with tradition, personal religion, a common aesthetic culture and a shared sense of belonging to this tribal group.

In its true sense, it is not politically driven but something to enjoy since politics is a thing of a bygone age. It's truly an idea.
