Get the pessimistic agnosticism mug.Scientific Agnosticism is a scientific movement, based on Techno-Agnosticism, that advocates infinite massive research and studies until find out if God, gods, spiritual beings, supernaturality and extraphysics are real or not, mainly focusing on the development of massive technologies and massive investments for do so, such as the ones of techno-agnosticism. Scientific agnosticism advocates it is impossible to know if gods are real or not according to our current material, technological and scientific conditions. Advocating it is necessary to superate our limitations even more until find out signals that gods, or even extraphysical dimensions and worlds are real or not. It basically advocates similar arguments than Scientific Deism, but instead of just telling neoatheism is taking over and lazyness of scientists. It advocates they are doing wrong research and they should research about gods as they research for aliens. Scientific agnosticism always compares gods and spiritual beings to aliens, even considering that aliens might exist at extraphysical level and the told gods and spiritual beings might be the aliens we are looking for, being necessary the development of massive techno-agnostic technologies for search about them such as the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, advocating techno-agnostic principles for enable the studies of gods and spiritual beings.
"The main difference between scientific agnosticism and scientific deism is that scientific agnosticism has a lot of doubts and hypothesis about gods and spiritual beings, but still considering it is unknown if their existence is real or not, while scientific deism actually claims they are real and they should do massive research for proof their existence, basically both have different mindsets but the same goal. And, scientific agnosticism advocates it is not necessary a lot of people making research at the same time, as scientific deism actually advocates, but just the enough for scientific agnosticism be active as SETI research actually is."
"Scientific agnosticism is just based as scientific deism actually is, both are literally the same thing, different mindsets but the same goal."

Get the Scientific Agnosticism mug.New agnosticism, also neoagnosticism, militant agnosticism and fundamentalist agnosticism, is a term to describe writers and thinkers that seeks to counter new atheism, state atheism, religious fundamentalism with rational agnostic-pragmatic arguments everywhere and develop technoagnosticism, scientific agnosticism and agnosticology.
"New Agnosticism is a nice movement for counter new atheism, such as new deism also is. Still new agnosticism is under construction and it might take some years until new agnosticism and new deism become a thing, such as agnosticology and deistology."

Get the New Agnosticism mug.The paralysis of perpetual withholding. Agnosticism claims that the existence of God is unknown and perhaps unknowable. The hard problem is that this intellectual position offers no guidance for living. Life forces decisions that implicitly assume a worldview. Whether you choose to pray, pursue material success, or devote your life to charity, you are acting as if the universe has a certain character (meaningful, indifferent, benevolent). Agnosticism, taken purely, is a state of suspended animation. In practice, most "agnostics" are functional atheists or vague spiritualists, because pure agnosticism is existentially unworkable—it's a spectator sport in a game where everyone is forced to play.
Example: A true agnostic is asked on their deathbed, "Do you seek forgiveness or make peace with nothingness?" They respond, "I cannot know which is appropriate." The hard problem: While intellectually honest, this stance provides no compass. It's like refusing to choose a path at a fork in the road because the map is unclear, yet starving to death while deliberating. Agnosticism is the ultimate "maybe," but life demands a series of "yeses" and "nos." Its purity is its practical irrelevance, making it less a settled position and more a permanent state of inquiry without conclusion. Hard Problem of Agnosticism.

Get the Cloud Agnostician mug.An ancient religious movement that evolved out of nascent Jewish and Christian sects in the late 1st century A.D. Gnosticism is a very subversive set of ideas, and it's distantly related to other Abrahamic mystical traditions like Kabbalah, but was suppressed by the early orthodox Christians and Jews as a perversion of their beliefs.
Basically, Gnostics read the first chapters of Genesis in a very different way than is traditional, seeing the serpent that tempted Adam and Eve as good and viewing the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil as humanities first step into consciousness.
Because of this, Gnosticism posits that the god of the Hebrew Bible, Yahweh, is actually an evil bastard child of the lowest aeon called Sophia (Greek for "Wisdom") who disobeyed the higher aeons and fell from grace.
Gnostic cosmogonies are complex and convoluted and very diverse across different movements, but a basic description of it would be that basically Yahweh and his archons (Greek for "rulers") created the physical world and rule over it, trapping our souls within it to keep us from the light world, the world which is ruled by the aeons and a Supreme God who is fundamentally good and who possesses both masculine and feminine hypostases.
Many Gnostics believe this good God is the God of the New Testament and they generally regard Jesus as a savior who came into the world to rescue a fallen Sophia and bring humanity back into the light world through knowledge.
