Used as swear word (common in french Canadian slang) 'Tabarnak' has a variety of uses. It has nearly become an equivalent to "fuck" and its derivatives in how it is used. It can be used as an insult (when adressing someone),or to overstate/amplify an emotion/state of mind, or to express surprise-disgust, etc.

Mon/le -tabarnak- (in keeping with the fuck reference: you/that -fucker-) ~insult~
C'est beau en -tabarnak- (It's -fucking- pretty) ~to amplify, overstate~
tabarnak! (fuck!) ~to express surprise in response to a comment, for example~

Soft profanity used to emphasize an emotion, an impression. Mild version of french-canadian curse word tabarnak.

Il pleut en tabarnouche. (It's raining 'en tabarnouche'.)

C'est toi qui m'a joué un tour mon tabarnouche! (You tricked me, you tabarnouche!)

Tabarnouche qu'il fait frette chez Mario. (Tabarnouche, it's cold at Mario's.)

tabarnac

In French Canadian slang, pretty much the equivalent of 'fuck' but with no sexual meaning - the word is only used as a vulgar interjection. Thanks to its ample use of the 'a' vowel, it is an extremely satisfying swear word that lets the energy flow through your throat.

The word comes from French 'tabernacle' pronounced with a French Canadian accent. It is unheard of in France.

Note: 'crisse', 'hestie' and 'câlisse' have very similar meanings and are equally vulgar. A locutor can stack them together as to create a rhetorical figure (see examples).
