Sobergerism

The conceptual union of Sokalism (the strategic use of academic hoaxes and to critique perceived intellectual fraud) and Mobergerism (the taxonomic dismissal of disagreeable positions as pseudoscience or bullshit). The Sobergerist doesn't just expose bad arguments—they position themselves as the ultimate arbiters of what counts as real knowledge, using the tools of academic critique to establish and enforce epistemological boundaries while remaining immune to similar critique themselves. It's a form of intellectual gatekeeping armed with the full apparatus of scientific authority, philosophical rigor, and performative debunking, creating a fortress of legitimate knowledge that can dismiss any challenger as either fraudulent (Sokalism) or categorically invalid (Mobergerism).

Example: "His response to the entire field of continental philosophy was to publish a parody and then declare any defense of it 'pseudophilosophy'—Sobergerism in its purest form, using mockery and taxonomic exclusion to avoid genuine engagement."
