kansas city shuffle

A type of con which depends on the mark realizing they're being conned, but incorrectly guessing how it's being done. When they try to foil the fake con they think they've uncovered, they fall into the real con. This con is most effective against marks who are "too smart for their own good", and will try to beat the conman at his own game instead of backing off when they discover he's trying to con them.

Named after the song by J Ralph. There are two Kansas Cities, and while one is in Kansas, the larger, more well-known one is actually just across the river in Missouri. Somebody unfamiliar with the region might go to the smaller one when they really wanted to go to the larger one, because they made the assumption that "Kansas City is obviously in Kansas". The song uses this confusion as an analogy for the way a mark thinks when they're being conned by a Kansas City Shuffle-type con.

Waupaca Shuffle

Leaving a bar, party, or any event especially those where alcohol is served without informing others in your party in an effort to avoid public scorn, ridicule, or abuse for leaving early.

A quality shuffle must be performed without others noticing until the shuffler is well on his/her way home. Seasoned shufflers have the ability to complete a shuffle, even under serious suspicion that they are doing so. While leaving early is frowned upon, a quality Waupaca Shuffle must be appreciated.

The Shikari Shuffle

It is a shuffle, used by the British post-hardcore band, Enter Shikari.
You can see it in their video to the single 'Destabilise'

It consists on them jumping from side to side together and Rob, the drummer, moving in time to them.

Fan 1: "Hey, did you see the new Enter Shikari video?"
Fan 2: "Yeah! Did you see them doing the Shikari shuffle? F*cking great mate."

G body shuffle

The G-Body Shuffle is a term used to describe a characteristic of the 1978-1987 general motors G platform vehicles. (monte carlo, grand prix, cutlass, regal ,el camino ,malibu) In which upon a hard launch with enough power the vehicle swerves or dips to one side from unequal torque transfer. This is due to the triangulated 4-link suspension. the term is commonly used among Drag race folks. Note: the 1987 regal GNX did not have this problem as it had a ladder bar/ panhard bar setup
