marine stack

A large quantity of something in one place. The term is derived from the Halflife third party mod "Natural Selection," in which a large quantity of players would attempt to pick the "Marine" team (as opposed to alien). Because the selection process involved physically walking through a portal, the players struggling to be marines would jump and crouch at the entrance, causing what appeared to be a stack of marines.

When I bought Counterstrike: Source, it wasn't DVD format so I ended up with a marine stack of CD's.

Marine Shower

The act of applying deodorant or cologne in lieu of a real shower.
Same as Mexican Shower and Puerto Rican Shower

I am going to take a Marine shower, by which I mean applying cologne or deodorant in lieu of a real shower, because I cannot take a real shower.

Colonial Marine Syndrome [CMS]

A thought process held by many film and game producers and makers, in which they want the new product to be like a prexisting product in the thought that it will make the product sell by principle. This rarely works and almost always kills the product from the start. The term comes from the video game "Aliens: Colonial Marines" in which the producers and makers wanted to make a call of duty game with the alien franchise

J: Hey did you hear about the new monster hunter movie?

L: The, WHAT, Oh man i love that game I wonder what its about
J: The description said it was about a military squad that discover a new world that evil monsters are trying to get to the normal world and take over
L: That honestly just sounds like Pacific rim with a monster hunter coat of paint
J: Oh than its a case of Colonial Marine Syndrome CMS
L: Uh, YEAH

Or "you gotta pronounce it right" town --- to truly "talk Yankee" or "speak like a real Mainuh", you don't call it "BAR HARBOR" (by-da-dictionary speakers are looked at funny here) or "BAY HAYBUH" or "BUH HUHBUH" --- it's "BAAH HAAHBAH"!

Woolwich, Maine might also be jokingly called Maine's "sheep town", but I was referrin' to Baah Haahbah.
