Doomscrolling

The act of endlessly scrolling through depressing, chaotic, or brain-melting content online. fully aware it’s ruining your mental health but too far gone to stop. Often accompanied by existential dread, bad posture, and the phrase “just one more.”

“I was supposed to go to bed at 11 but ended up doomscrolling until the birds started chirping.”

I don’t know what this word means, rather than it being a setting which is the opposite of upscroll, which is featured in Friday Night Funkin, a popular video game.
