Get the Social Distancing mug.Social Luddism, also SocLuddism or SocLudd, rejects mass media and anything related to it, and believes that the mass media and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. It seeks to reduce the impacts of mass media, internet, videogames and so on in human lives believing or media should show positive things about the world more than it does with negative things, or it should be reduced until return into the times mass media weren't so harmful to people. Some variants of social luddism advocate that mass media should show show more positive things about the world and encourage people to see the positive side of life and existence, while others advocate that mass media should be reduced until it returns to the times mass media weren't so harmful to people while some few others advocate that mass media should be abolished and no longer exist. Social Luddism is often characterized by the uses of terms such as "pacification" (make mass media more pacific and positive), "positivization" (make media show more positive things than negative things), "deviolentization" (reduce violence on mass media) and "depornographization" / "depornization" (reduce pornography and porn on mass media).
