A pond skimmer is when you let your pool go to long but it still looks good and you let your friends swim in it knowing the chemicals could possibly hurt them.

Pond Skimming

A time honored tradition at every ski mountain. There is a “pond” in the snow at the end of the slope surrounded by a crowd when people dressed in costumes try to cross the pond on skiis or snowboards. Most people fail and eat shit. And all the drunk people yell and cheer. Overall a great way to end the season.
