Passive spam is basically a Facebook or other social network post that has a completely pointless call to action. The defining factor is that the quiz or question is not meant to offer any type of challenge, but instead is simply a tool to arbitrarily increase page reach.
Passive spam consists of stupid quiz-like questions on Facebook that either require some small amount of math or analytical skills (in order to make the people responding feel intelligent...even though they aren't)
Also, the classic "like or my grandmother will die" type posts. In this context the spammer is using the person's good nature to accomplish their goals instead of the person's desire to answer a question (that usually is incredibly simple to figure out).

When someone should be listening to what you are saying but they are mentally too busy thinking of what they want to say or are interrupting you to get their point across or jump ahead of you telling the story because they can't wait for you to finish. This causes them to ask a question about the thing you are talking about before you are able to get it out or ask about something you said but they missed because they aren't really listening. As opposed to an active listener who is genuinely interested in hearing what you are trying to tell them regarding an incident or a story or information.
You: So I told her don't be all up in my business because. ..
Them: So she left or stayed or what?
You: I'm trying to tell you what happened. Don't be such a passive listener.

A person who touts about his high-end purchases to others yet conveniently forgets to mention it was bought at a discount store.
Looks like Jenny fogot to remove the TJ Max 50% off tag from her new and "very very expensive" handbag.. she is so passive pompous.

When you have something to deal with that's worth crashing out, but you're calm enough not to; yet the crash out still happens internally.

You: "I failed the exam I studied 40 hours for, I'm about to crash out"
Bro: "let's have a 'passive crash out'

Someone passive interest(ed) is someone who is desperate for something but doesn't show any signs of interest in that something, basically asking them to help achieve the person the something he wants but acting cool and not worried on it.
Desperate boi : oh man, tbh I dont care about being the leader of the clan. But hey if you want to vote me go ahead.
Random user in chat: my friend I know you want it. You have a Passive Interest on being the leader of the clan.
