clingy friend

a person who is usually attached to you a lot, doesn't like when you don't pay attention to them, needs to be around you or else they may feel underappreciated etc.

Two people talking.
One person starts talking to someone else for a while.
Person 2: Hey! I'm talking to you still! Oii pay attention!
Person 1: *ignores them*
Person 2: may feel ignored and annoyed (even if it's only once)

clingy friend is basically where you need to KNOW a lot about the other person eg. where they are, why they're doing something, how something is going.

they can be quite nosy and needs to know very irrelevant details. it can sometimes come off as stalker like.

Apocalypse friend

noun - friend who, unlike the antonym fair weather friend, is there through all the fire and brimstone moments in life. When a person is unwell, heartbroken, jobless, homeless or even had a day from hell this friend is patiently there through the worst of it. They are the friend to the end.

Following a bad break up and the death of a well loved grandparent, I battled with depression. My apocalypse friend wasn't phased by any of the hell fire or brimstone, they held my hand and led me through the worst of it.
