Get the Great northern sleeping bagsmug. The Great Resignation is a phenomenon that describes record numbers of people leaving their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, often with no other job lined up and with no plans to resume working.
The trend is associated with the anti-work movement and a resurgence in support for labor-centric socioeconomics, and is heavily influenced by the stagnation of wages since the end of the Cold War. However, at least part of the trend has been a result of the popularity of remote work and a reluctance to resume working in office settings, which are largely seen as wasteful and/or uncomfortable in comparison with workers' private residences.

I hated working in that office, if my boss asks me to go back to working there I'll join the Great Resignation and put in my two-weeks notice the same day.
