Get the Grunge Hugmug. Grunge that has been mixed with another genre to either appeal to a specific audience or so as to correctly represent the band stylistically.
The term originated as a derogatory slur for bands in the late 90's playing in the style of the early 90's grunge revolution.
However, while some bands WERE simply only using grunge stylings to either attract audiences or make money, many bands did, in fact, feel that their specific sound(s) required varying degrees of grunge influences, along with influences from other sources.
Examples:
Creed
3 Doors Down
Hinder
Foo Fighters
Trapt
Puddle of Mudd
etc.
Matchbox Twenty is not included due to the fact that the majority of their genre is a 70's rock mix, with only very limited influences from grunge.
Also, I have grudgingly included Creed on this list, simply because it is public opinion that they are not grunge simply because their first studio album was released in 1997. It is my belief, however, that Creed has an extremely large percentage of grunge influence, so much so that grunge is their most prevalent genre.

Get the Grungemug. A musical style popularized in the mid-80s in the city of Seattle. It's a beautiful marriage of punk, metal and alternative rock. The result is a dirty, heavy and noisy guitar sound and a voice pushed to its maximum spewing the emotions of the singer's personal life. The popularity of grunge is also spreading in people's lifestyles and outfits. The end of grunge was marked by the death of Kurt Cobain, lead singer and guitarist of the world's most popular rock band, Nirvana. Today, many alternative rock bands have been influenced by Staley's powerful vocals, Grohl's squared and precise drum beats or McCready's brilliant guitar riffs.

Get the bw grungemug. a sub culture that actually existed in the 90s but now people are acting grunge. grunge people are people who don’t give a shit and ARE NOT homophobic, transphobic, racist, or any kind of asshole. they piss off people who are stupid and are bitches. they do whatever they want and say fuck the world. they listen to Nirvana, Hole, Alice in chains, etc. not Lana Del Ray, or any of that indie bullshit. i am not disrespecting them, but it’s not grunge.
