Grunge musicians could be identified from their preference for extremely comfortable clothing (often flannel shirts and jeans), a tendency to be kinda smelly, anti-capitalist and feminist lyrical themes, and disregard for societal norms. Stereotypically addicted to heroin or some other heavy drug. Grunge musicians did not identify the genre of music they played, it was really more of a marketing term
