Circumcision

Originally introduced to the US in the 1800s as a way to prevent masturbation, bed wetting, and insanity, infant circumcision is a form of genital cutting that people still rationalize to this day. It is so embedded in our culture that people do it to their sons without giving it much thought.

It is often referred to as just a “little snip.” People who say this are either lying or have never actually seen a circumcision. Baby’s foreskins are fused to the head of their dick and during a circumcision, the doctor has to surgically rip the foreskin off from the head. It’s a graphic, bloody procedure. People like to take an “out of sight, out of mind” approach to it though and pretend that it’s something it’s not.

Person one 1: circumcision is just a little snip

Person 2: have you ever seen a circumcision take place?

Person 1: hell no

Person 2: then how do you know that it's just a little snip?

Person 1: well, everyone does it so it must be ok
