Yaoi

The word “yaoi” is another way to say gay, bl, shounen-ai and boy x boy. It’s basically a sexual or romantic relationship between 2 males together. Mostly fan girls fantasize over yaoi manga, anime or even TV series. Girls who like or have an interest in yaoi are therefore also called as “fujoshi” also known as “rotten girl”, on the other hand, boys who like or have an interest in yaoi are however Called as “fundanshi” also known as “rotten boy”.

An outdated term referring to any male x male manga, anime, or fanfiction. Can be explicit or not, oftentimes used in a not safe for work (NSFW) sense. The term has since been replaced by “Boys-Love” (BL).
