When a person finds it necessary to post a problem they are having on the internet for the world to see so maybe, just MAYBE, they can find someone that agrees with them and that will show sympathy for their plight.

Facebook Validation---Post by John Doe: Fair or not fair? Tell me how you would feel if your girlfriend/fiance/significant other went out all night and did not call to let you know where she was. Can someone please help me out with this?

The practice of forcing another party to behave in an involuntary manner (whether through action or inaction) by use of threats, intimidation or some other form of pressure or force. Such actions are used as leverage, to force the victim to act in the desired way.

She told me she wont be my friend unless I de-friend him. That's Facebook coercion!

a person who rates his popularity on how many facebook friends he has, (usually in the thousands due to adding everyone they find) also they use words like banter and constantly post status updates asking if anyone comes out, despite the fact that they never go out due to too many things to post on facebook.
