Up the Wahs

A saying proudly exclaimed by fans of the New Zealand Warriors, one of the teams that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition played in Australia and New Zealand.

The basic meaning is "Go the Warriors!", with "Wahs" being short for "Warriors".

The saying is taken from the term "up the wazoo" which usually describes an excessive amount of something (literally, "up the arse"). But obviously the meaning has been modified to fit the Warriors.

"Are you gonna watch the Warriors game tonight?"

"Hell yeah, up the Wahs!"

An exclaimatory expression used to express supreme surprise, shock, or disappointment. This term is frequently* used by Singaporeans and Thai people.

*Used atleast 30 times daily by an average Singaporean.

A very common conversation between two Singaporeans.
