wanna-be Matys

a group of few fuckers that want to be exactly the same like one of my best friend. they're acting like him, wearin similar clothes, two of them even got a hairstyle like he has. every "wannabe Matys" almost admires him, but he hates this act of copin his own style. they're also suckin to him every moment and it's so pathetic. he's always gettin fuckin angry when they're doin such things.

A person whose online persona indicates that they are a member of the military, while in real life, they are not. Often used by people who would be underage anyway, to reinforce their "older" image.

Wanna eat? Shut up then!

This was a phrase popular in Northern Lower Michigan in the mid-to-late 1980's.  It is believed to have originated from a highschool teacher in Pentwater trying to calm down a classroom before lunch hour.  It was uttered in various circumstances, generally associated with mealtimes.

Kids standing in line at a McDonald's.  One turns to the other and shouts (preferably in the other's ear): Wanna eat? Shut up then!

wanna-be

when someone is a wanna-be they put themselves through a lot of stress to become that person they can never fully be. They focus on this task to become this person they want to become that they end up having stress from it. They can never truly be themselves. They try so hard they act like they are a professional on day 1 of trying to complete the task of becoming someone they can't.

i have a friend who moved from the north to down here in the south and just discovered how to peal crawfish but kept calling it crayfish and when i pointed it out my friend said "oh yeah I know I'm just messing with you guys. I pealed crawlfish all the time back home." Clearly my friend didn't know how to pronounce crawfish or that y'all was a word. My friend wants to fit in so bad to the southern culture he is a wanna-be southerner.
