A sub-genre of tech house and minimal tech house characterized by deep, fast-paced grooves and a bpm range of 129-140 (some tracks at 128 can be Rocket Groove). "Rocket" refers to the fast paced and high tempo nature of the genre, while "Groove" emphasizes the tech/minimal tech house roots where groove is king.

Someone who is a minimalist musician, not in the sense of the style he produces, but in the amount of work he shows to the public. Groove Abbotts are usually very precise and perfectionists in their work, thus it is not unusual to find only one music produced and released by them after 10 years-or-so of career. They are also gurus of electronic music production, usually having worked with every DAW available in the market, and possibly testing betas of DAWs that will only be released years ahead. They are pretty much godlike.
Someone - "Hey do you know how to produce in Reason?"
Groove Abbott - "I know how to produce. Period."
Groove Abbott - "I know how to produce. Period."

Groove metal (also known as post-thrash or power groove) is a derivative form of thrash metal that is played at a moderate pace and places a greater emphasis on 'groove' and syncopation. This style was popularized in the early 1990s by the bands Prong and Pantera.
