To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Goku. The power-set is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the nuance will go over a typical fan's head. There's also Goku's omnipotent aspects, which is firmly rooted in quantum field theory. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this exponentially important character, to realize that he's not just a character in a comic book, but that he is beyond that. As a consequence people who dislike Goku are truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the complexities associated with his Final Crisis story, which in itself is a cryptic reference to Erwin Schrödinger's Many Worlds Interpretation.
