Something than is not fair/not good. From the original Scottish/Chav term "Shan".

The "tana" suffix offers no extra meaning, merely more syllables. More syllables often serve make a word like this fit more comfortably into an exasperated sentence.
"What do you mean you don't have sliced bread? That is shantana"

"I was going to go to the mall but I heard the parking was shantana"
