A word made up by the Japanese people to describe who-knows-what.
It is also used in slang by English-speaking people to describe the science of being a tourist, either in reference to oneself or a tourist to one's home nation.

1) Japanese Travel Guide: "And to your right is the Center for Silk Roadology!"
English-speaking Tourist: "...What the hell?"

2) "Roadology is a fine science, my friend. I mean, wearing fanny packs and falling into every tourist trap you see is something that is learned with years of study."

Ronpology

When a guy drinks too much and too often and has to go around to all his friends giving an apology for his actions the next day. Often blames his actions on the drinking instead of taking personal responsibility.
