This term is an extension of procrastination. It is the act of waiting to work on something, even though everyone around you is working on that very same thing. Instead the individual may play silly games on their phone and distracting others from doing there work. Hence, making "pratiking it" a contagious action.
Teacher: Alright class, let's work on the worksheet I just passed out.
