An online imageboard/BBS where one can draw pictures online (traditionally with Java applets such as PaintBBS, although HTML5 applets have been introduced in more recent times) and post it on the board. They used to be quite popular in the 2000's, but essentially died off around the 2010s, apart from a few lucky boards such as Wacintaki. They have had a bit of a resurgence in the 2020's indie web scene with the creation of board scripts such as POTI-board.
2. An image created in an oekaki board. They are typically low-resolution and have pixelated lines.
3. A drawing that uses pixelated lines, but isn't considered pixel art, as the pixels are not carefully placed. Doesn't necessarily have to be made in an oekaki board. Typically used in a derogatory way against artists.

1. Oekaki boards are great! People there are so nice, and for something so old they hold up quite well.
