Fanthropic

Describes a creation, project, or work that suffers widespread backlash, hatred, or deletion—not because of the creator’s actions or quality of the work itself, but because of the destructive or toxic behavior of its fanbase. This includes excessive shipping, NSFW content, harassment, or overzealous interpretation that distorts the work’s reception and pressures the creator into removing or abandoning it
