A scam or process of getting free publicity by annoying hacks who have no discernible talent by pretending to have a feud among each other. This is used predominantly in the corrupt "music" industry, especially by those who cannot play a musical instrument.
"This letter is sent to inform you that our song entitled ‘Sup' is currently being submitted to numerous radio stations under false pretenses, and is being misrepresented by the writer, Mr. Fo D. Rapp, an artist under the Cellmate Records label who has been dissing us since before the song was even written."

"Tune in to Fauxtainment tonight a 7 and hear about the rumor of how Jay-East dissed ParaShoot, and ParaShoot disses back!"
