The Bro-Hug

This is the hug where somebody goes in for a hug and there is a moment of awkwardness. You're not quite ready for the hug or are thrown off guard by the possibility of a hug happening so what do you do? You just kind of fidget and then give the other person a little arm up pat on the back. It's almost like hugging a sibling that you're not quite affectionate with so you pat each other instead.

" I ran into Joe the other day...since we haven't seen each other in years I wasn't sure what to do when he went in for a hug so I gave him The Bro-Hug instead. I'll never hear the end of it for that one!"

When a friend/family friend owns or is in a family business and either gives you a discount on something you need, or just gives it to you for free. Whether you owe them a favor in return, or they're just doing it to be nice, you gotta admit that's a pretty cool thing to do for your bro.

Guy 1: "Dude, that's too expensive! We don't have enough for that!"

Guy 2: "Chill, man. I'm buddy-buddy with the cashier, he's definitely gonna hit me with The Bro Discount™."

the bro hoe hold

When a bro hoe grips her drink, (usually a natural or busch light) with her thumb and index finger, holds her phone, (usually a blackberry), within her middle and index finger, and her pack of cigarrettes with her ring and middle finger all with one hand. This is mainly used to free up one of her hands so she can still put one hand on her hip to pose for a picture. This is an especially popular technique many bro hoes use to make them look cooler in pictures. Many bro hoes simply do not have enough time to waste on putting their stuff down while they are taking pictures.

Girl 1: Hey girl let me get a picture of you two!!

Girl 2: Okay girly let me put my drink, phone, and cigarrettes down first.

Girl 1: NO!!! We don't have time. Just use the bro hoe hold.

Girl 2: Oh yeah!

The Bro Card

A card that is technically imaginary but has great sentimental value to the two owners. The Bro Card can only be used between two bros. To use The Bro Card properly one must give the card to his bro and ask for a favor or deed. Regardless of how bad that bro does not want to complete the favor he must, but in return they may now use The Bro Card when he wants for whatever he wants (respectively speaking) except to reverse the favor just asked of them. The Bro Card is a sacred ritual practiced by the best of friends.

Dude 1: "Dude, I need you to do me a solid, I need you to go on this double date on me"

Dude 2: "With that ugly chick? No fricken way dude!"

Dude 1: "Ah come one man, I've got to pull out 'The Bro Card' on this one"

Dude 2: "Damn dude, alright I guess I have to"
