Parade

You would almost think there would be no parades any more, not because of the virus, but because someone would call a parade racist like they did with the statues for not being politically correct enough. No crowd, black, white, yellow, brown (and a red indian or two) would gather, people would just remain divided if there was no parade to go to.

Indians don't have a parade on thanksgiving, so should the rest of us put an end to the parades? Would that somehow right all the wrongs that have been done in this country? If there really was a better way to treat each other, wouldn't people have thought of it and done it before now?

Wishing is for what someone hasn't made happen, it's easier to wish for something that isn't likely to happen to happen than it is to go ahead and just make it happen, to get it over with.

parade maker

(n). A driver and/or car that goes consistently under the speed limit, causing a backup of 20+ cars, creating frustration and your ability to be where you want to be on time.

Gee boss, I'm very sorry that I'm 10 minutes late, but I was in a long line of cars stuck behind this parade maker.

It was a double line for several miles. no one could even attempt to pass the parade maker.

Parade Day

In Scranton, Pennsylvania, a day in March during which a grand St. Patrick's Day Parade is held. However, the vast majority of people simply use the day as an excuse to drink all day long and stay in a state of constant drunkenness. Bars bring in tremendous revenue during this day, some of which virtually depend on Parade Day. Most people in Scranton consider Parade Day a holiday and some would even call it their favorite.

Coined by philosopher and comedic genius Adam Carolla, this term is used to describe a group of three or more gay people congregating in one area. You can have a murder of crows, a herd of cows or a parade of gays.

parade rest

A drill and ceremony position executed from the position of attention. It has nothing to do with attractive women and doesn't remotely refer to standing at attention. It is also used when speaking to a non-commissioned officer who is ranked higher than you.

Solider: Hey 1st Sergeant, what time is final formation?
NCO: Soldier, you better stand at fucking parade rest when you address the 1st Sergeant. You know what, get the fuck down and push!
Soldier: Goddamnit.

parade pretty

When a female soldier is standing at ease in front of a male NCO or non commissioned officer and she pops her hip out and angles her leg toward the male. The act is usually performed by a female trainee to get attention of a male drill sergeant.

-female drill sgt- Pvt. Smith, we stand at parade rest, not parade pretty. Drill SGT Davis does not want your ass!
-female trainee- YES DRILL SGT!
