The regions of the USA that were originally part of Mexico historically and have retained some Hispanic culture through it. Such as, Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc.

meximerica

The region of the USA that originated from Mexico and still retain a lot of Hispanic culture, generally the southwest and Texas. California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc. etc.
Meximerica, southwest USA and one region within the area known as 'Dixie,' it's confusing and is caused by the fact Texas has cultural and historical ties with both regions. (Civil War is the culprit here. Unlike the other states Texas was with the CSA.)

The act of applying to your country or culture something that unequivocally belongs to the United States.
