Hatetricity

Hatetricity (n.): the resentful, undermining energy directed at someone by their own close community—hostility, envy, or contempt from people who would ordinarily be expected to support or honor them.

Behind those fake laughs and claps, there was a tidal wave of hatetricity ready to pull him under once she let her guard down.

When unsolicited negative comments become a pattern, you know it’s a simple case of hatetricity.
