A person who has 'gone green', and is now highly judgmental of all others who they feel are not 'green enough'.

Can be accentuated when the individual does not have a well rounded knowledge of the actual issues of climate change.

Bob traded in his SUV to buy a Hybrid, then when he saw me drive in to work in my gas car he gave me the stink eye and hasn't talked to me since. Little does he know that my small car still gets better gas millage than his Hybrid, and has for the last ten years. What a greenneck.

A combination of a hippy and a redneck. Someone who owns several guns, but is also into organic farming. You're rebuilding a 1970's ford in your spare time, but also ferment your own kimchi. You bow hunt in your spare time, but drive a car that runs on recycled cooking oil. Found in areas like Wyoming, Northern California, Western Colorado

Man, I didn't realize how much of a greenneck that guy is. We just shot AR-15s and now were reiki by a hot spring.

greeneckathorn

a series of hysterical laughter and uncontrollable sobbing in one sitting. it sounds bipolar, but the laughing and crying is for no specific reason and is often completely out of the blue. the act is sort of mean, because no one knows what to say or how to help.. do they try to comfort you? or laugh with you?

my mom feared i would have a greeneckathorn when she told me my sister was getting married.
