Flirg is an acronym that stands for "First Lady I'd rather gag." It could be used to describe an ugly and un-bonable First Lady. Same as "flirj" but more plausible acronym.

ARTICLE: "What the FLIRG? 'SNL' coins a new word"
by GLENN GARVIN, ggarvin@MiamiHerald.com
Saturday Night Live may be 34 years old, and its original audience may be buying Depends instead of weed, but it retains an amazing popular-culture punch. The lead sketch from Saturday's season debut, a ''public service announcement'' with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton, got airtime on all of the morning news shows Monday -- or part of it did, anyway. SNL may have gotten rid of the Not Ready For Prime Time Players, but the Not Ready For Airing On Family Shows flavor remains.
As usual, the dodgy bits are some of the funniest. In Saturday's sketch, the Palin and Clinton characters were condemning sexism in political coverage, and they offered some specific examples. ''Don't refer to me as a MILF,'' sternly demanded Palin, using the street acronym for Mom I'd Like To, um, have intimate knowledge of. Added Clinton: ``Don't refer to me as a FLIRG. I Googled what it stands for and I do not like it.''
Dunno about you, but I'd never heard the expression FLIRG. Neither had a friend of mine, who immediately punched it into Google and came back with just two references. By Monday morning that number had grown to nearly 6,700. There's no general consensus on what the word -- which seems to have been made up by SNL writers -- means. But the best guess seems to be that it's an acronym for First Lady Is Really Gay.
Wanna bet that there's an entry for it on UrbanDictionary.com by Tuesday?

Palin and Clinton characters were condemning sexism in political coverage, and they offered some specific examples. First used on the Saturday Night Live, Fall 2008 Season Premier opening sketch where you had a Sara Palin/Hillary Clinton sketch. The phrase occured in the following context:
Palin: ''Don't refer to me as a MILF,''
Clinton: ``Don't refer to me as a FLIRG. I Googled what it stands for and I do not like it.''
Google had no hits that evening, however the next day the consensus on the web was First Lady Is Really Gay
Palin: ''Don't refer to me as a MILF,''
Clinton: ``Don't refer to me as a FLIRG. I Googled what it stands for and I do not like it.''

"And don't refer to me as a FLIRG! I googled what it stands for, and I do not like it." - Amy Poehler, on Saturday Night Live, portraying (former) First Lady, Hillary Clinton. 9/13/2008

Acronym for First Lady I'd Rather Get Elected. Popularized, or possibly coined in a Saturday Night Live skit, a parody of a conversation between Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin. Palin remarks she's tired of being referred to as a milf and Clinton says she's tired being called a flirge. With the addition of the Clinton's comment about being called a "boner shrinker", flirge may be related to flerg.
