-1. To Metal Heads an emo band is a band that isn't brutal enough to be Thrash Metal or Death Metal.
-2. To Punk Rockers emo bands are like punk rock bands that don't spread Anarchy.
-3. To Goths, emo bands are "emo" because things like My Chemical Romance are more angsty than The Cure; Goth
and emo are both alternative rock but aren't the same music or fashion.

-5. Emo is a subculture with dark clothes, bright accessories (arm sleeves, necklaces, piercings), dyed hair, eyeliner, skater shoes and music that's too expressive to be accepted by other subcultures and doesn't sound Goth.
