To spend a majority of the time listening to a series or film rather than actually watching it.

I've already seen this film but it still makes for a good ear-watch.
I had a lot of housework to do so I ended up ear-watching two episodes of Strang Things.

Bloody Ear Syndrome (BES)

When someone talks to you or another in your listening area and voice is so irritating it causes an uncontrollable bleeding of the ears.

When Jody comes into to my office and starts talking my ears start bleeding. She gives me a case of Bloody Ear Syndrome (BES).
