What I'm doing right now.

I shot about 6 bags of potent heroin earlier today, and now I'm having a tough time staying awake, aka nodding out.

N.O.D or NOD

acronym for Narly Old Dude or Narley Old Dude, the guy over 40 still mixing it up with the 20-something's, the one with the mountian bike, surfboard, skateboard, guitar, he's running, he's in the gym, still competitive in nature, and probably dating your girlfriend.

Hey, anybody can do this in their twenties, but that guy's a NOD.

nod of acknowledgement

I usually refer to this as the "Man Nod", since it is generally used by Men with Men. I find the nod is used most often when signalling hello to an oncoming car on a lonely country road, when communicating a silent hello to a male pedestrian from a car, or in any situation where one man wants to acknowledge another man with respect non-audibly. In the case of car-on-car nodding, sometimes lifting 1 finger up to say "Hi" from the wheel often suffices too.

Driving on a desolate country road without seeing anyone for hours, I gave the only driver that passed the 'nod of acknowledgement {man nod}' as he passed and he did the same right back.

up nod

The act of raising one's chin as an acknowledgement of another person. Significant in that it exposes the throat, long thought a point of vulnerability.

A woman, usually drunk and ugly, performing oral sex in the back seat of a car. In reference to the bobble head 'nodding' characters British people would put in the rear window of there car, often a Churchill Dog.

gym nod

The silent communication between people working out at the gym. I see the same people at the gym every day and don't know their names. I just give them the old gym nod and keep working out.
