However they will defy any criticism on not being inclusive by tokenism and thus referring to the one or two people of colour in their group.
Their actions might contradict their performative ideals and values, often because they do not want to give up their own platform or status for a person of colour. Furthermore they actively participate in tokenism and sometimes downplay racism. Just like with western homonationalism, there is still a strong desire to assimilate to the heteronormative patriarchy and to claim space in hetero-dominant spaces.
