It's like a Sick day, that you take off from school or work, except you aren't really "sick". you've just been put out of commission by a case of the shits. and you can't be out in public like this.

A: I took a sickday from work, but I wasn't really sick, I just had the shits last night from something I ate at McDonalds. I couldn't tell them that though.
