Karen

An innocent person, typically considered a white, blonde female, who would normally be totally nice and 'cool' with and towards people, but is highly provoked by agent provocateurs into flipping out. The said provocateurs would them claim that the woman acted from a place of white privilege, when really she was reaction rationally to the level of provocation by criminally minded people from any walk of life.

OMG, remember the sweetest, most quiet girl with a flower in her hair from high school who no one ever did anything for but tease and taunt. Well, she totally Karen'd out because someone at the grocery store wouldn't honor her coupons for yogurt and the 'Karen' desperately needed to eat because all of her provocateurs created a world in which she can no longer make a living. And that Karen has no family members to help her or large groups of mobbing crowds on, say, a crowdfunding page.

Karen entered the English language from Danish, where it has been a short form of "Katherine" since medieval times. It proceeded from the Greek word Aikaterine, which is believed to mean "pure." It became popular in the English-speaking world in the 1940s. The name Karen was one of the top 10 names for girls born in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s, peaking as the third most popular girl's name in 1965. Due to its increasingly common derogatory use since 2017, the name has become significantly less popular in the United States in recent years.

Karen is a proper name and should not be used otherwise. When used as slang to mean "bad" or "vile", feelings of anger, hate, and sadistic amusement are evoked and directed toward anyone with this name. The derogatory use of the name Karen started as a joke in current pop culture but it has been perpetuated to the point that the popularity of the name is in decline and some people who were given this noble name at birth have legally changed their name due to the stigma that is now attached. That's no longer a joke.

Middle aged sometimes younger white/ caucasian women that complain and throws a tantrum and or acts silly and or acts with child like behavior for no reason or for the simplest reconciling situation or for attention becomes 1. They are either jealous. 2. They are either racist. 3. They haven’t gotten dick in a very long time. 4. They are having a meltdown. 5. They are mentally unstable.

Me: Minding my business and playing my music while barbecuing in my backyard.
Karen : hey you I’m going to call the police if you don’t turn off that gang banging music.

Me: go ahead and call them I’m not doing anything wrong and my music isn’t too loud.

Karen: help help some call 911 the person is attacking me. As she persists to yell and scream as though she’s under attack.
