The outstretched arm of the raver or partygoer who's dance moves are mainly reflected in the up and down motion of said outstretched arm. Over exertion of the rave arm may lead to a larger and more muscular appearance indicating that it might in fact be a wank arm.

A modern derivation of Kung Fu found when a fight breaks out in the middle of the dance floor, mosh pit, or rave.

'rave-up' has some history with the influence of psychedelic drugs upon those musicians who would, "shake the air" (-frank zappa)
someone 'raving' could (and should!) be perceived as 'out of their head', ie: geniune insanity, or temporary insanity/drug influence...this is not always all bad!!
