Player One Syndrome

The urge to be first, the center of attention, or the front runner in any aspect of day-to-day life, the term deriving from the multiplayer video game position of "player one".

A Player puts on a 2D facade that can easily be seen through in short period of time, but continues the charade due to its effectiveness on willing participants that despite their claims are enamored with the display/show.
