Similar to the evolution of the word 'fag', the definition and usage of soy boy has broadened over the years from being specifically against a sensitive, effeminate man (usually a liberal snowflake who is gay, trans, white knight, etc) to being a broad/basic insult for anyone that is disliked, despite their characteristics.
