although the usage of "camp" varies, as seen on most modern social media platforms; (i.e tiktok, fashion articles, etc.), "camp" is an adjective describing something considered to be in poor taste because of excessive garishness and/or sentimentality, but sometimes appreciated in an ironic or knowing way.

when thinking of modern-media examples of "camp", recall Lady Gaga's meat dress, or the fashion used in early 2000's Disney channel shows.
