In physics, a gauge theory describes the dynamics of a system by introducing more variables than are actually necessary to describe the system. For a gauge theory, there’s no “right number” of variables, so you’re stuck either being too vague or a bit redundant… Or you’re stuck with a non-local theory, which shivers my timbers.

Gauge is a super sweet guy, he’s calm, kind and caring. He’s tall, strong, a bit chubby but he’s like a teddy bear. You could talk all day everyday and that mf will listen no matter what, he will give you everything you need to be happy, and he will go above and beyond for you. Gauge is an athletic name given to those who never give up and fight for what they want and those they they love. Gauge will always stand up for his beliefs but will not shame those who don’t believe the same. A role model for all, strong, independent and respected by all who meet him. Loves his family above everything else. Gauge will never turn his back on his true friends but expect some the same in return.

feeler gauge

Da measurement-scale of how "hands on" someone is when interacting with a fellow human.

Noting how someone acts around you when others are present is hardly a reliable "feeler gauge" --- you would need to see how well he keeps his hands to himself when you're just in a one-on-one setting.
