The backstage boyfriend is often seen alongside his female counterpart during rehearsals, intermissions, and cast parties; attached at the hip. This kind of relationship usually ends after the show closes and may resume during the next. The rest of the cast and crew can see that there is something going on between the two, but they often strictly deny it.
