A phrase used for the wealthy. Only for the wealthy... you have to be rich to afford a yacht.
Simile Phrase: What ever floats your boat.

Rich girl: "I really want to get this 280,000 car, but I really like this 280,001 car... Well, I'll get the 280,001 car. I like it better than the 280,000 car..."

Other: "What ever floats your yacht."

Rich girl: "Well it can't be my money, cause it's heavy... idk. I'll have to ask my daddy.."

No doubt the most famous yacht club in the world, the NYYC was founded in 1844. The organization has two different clubhouses. One in Newport, Rhode Island, and the other in New York City. Consisting of the wealthiest of the wealthy, the club contains past and current members including JP Morgan, the Cornelius Vanderbilt, the Rockefellers, JFK, the Duponts, and the Bloombergs. "Harbour Court" the club house in Newport sits on the most expensive piece of real estate in RI, and the New York club house contains over 8 Million dollars worth of models. Members flock from the wealthiest towns in to country: Greenwich, the Hamptons, Nantucket, Rye, BI... To name a few.

First coined by Reddit’s Wall Street Bets; a midwestern yacht is any obnoxious mode of transportation consuming a minimum 1/3rd of any midwestern home owner’s garage. Examples include RVs, Boats that haven’t touched the water in years, 4th of July floats, motorcycles that are still being rebuilt, leaky Suburbans, get creative.

You betcha’ it’ll be a great weekend to pull out the midwestern yacht, and take her out for a spin, if the gall darn snow would melt off.
