shipping war

a shipping war is where there is a love triangle (or in some cases square) and there are two teams (or three) and each team is rooting for a different ship/ relationship. it often happens in fandoms, to my knowledge i have never seen one happen in real life.

me: are you on team keefe or team fitz in the kotlc shipping war?
someone: i'm on team fitz.
me: how dare you fitz sucks i am on team keefe!

Shoppin and hoppin

To go to different doctor offices with the specific goal of getting narcotics to fuel an addiction or to sell for profit. And after getting all the narcotics you can from one doctor, repeating the process.

She's a regular. She's known for shoppin and hoppin. So she on the blacklist and isn't allowed narcotics. Tell her so she will leave.

1 Frivolous purchases, without need or use for
the items.

2 Going to stores with the sole intentions of looking for things to spend money on.

“Let’s go shomping, darling! I’m feeling like spending obnoxious amounts of money on things we don’t need, and will likely never use!”

“Well, there isn’t necessarily anything I need, but I’m sure if I go to the store, I can find something to buy!“

Ah yes the world of shipping
shipping is when you pair 2 characters in a show/movie/real life/etc
Or even if your weird enough you can ship a real life character with a cartoon character

Normal person: dawg they're npcs from ROBLOX why are you shipping them

When a basketball player has a bad shooting performance that their stat lines resemble calendar dates (eg. 5/18, 2/12, 3/11). Typically used to make fun of players who have a stretch of bad games.

"Trae Young been shooting tour dates lately, 1/12 and 4/17 last two games"

A person who comes by and changes your life for the better but the circumstances don't allow you to continue the relationship with them e.g., right person, wrong time.

We make wishes when we look at shooting stars. That person was like one coming true.

I knew it when I saw her. She was my shooting star.
